YEAR conference 2018 will be organized in Vienna on 11-12 June 2018!
The European Young Researchers’ Award (EYRA) is granted by Euroscience since 2010 to researchers demonstrating outstanding research performance and leadership. It aims to inspire early stage researchers to incorporate a European dimension and perspective into their research.
The YEAR Annual Conference 2017 was this year held in Brussels 12-13 June. During this 2-days event, professional trainers gave a hands-on training in ideation, pitching as well as collaborative and innovative thinking. For this training, YEAR collaborated with The Forge. The Forge is a training company this is specialized in innovation and efficient communication.
The G-STIC 2017 Student & Research Challenges are launched to encourage students, PhD students and junior researchers worldwide to come up with original and innovative ideas on new technological solutions that hold great potential for achieving the SDGs.
The second YEAR Webinar dealt with a key issue for young researchers: A new framework to enhance your career development. It was presented by Kathrine Vangen and Iuliana Hussein, on 04 May 2017.
The first YEAR Webinar dealt with a burning issue: Can #OpenScience win your Grant Proposals? It was presented by Ivo Grigorov, on 22 March 2017.
Renewed and improved YEAR Annual Conference will be organized in 12-13th of June in Brussels. In addition to giving you new tools to enhance your collaboration skills, we will also solve the universal challenges!

On the 29th of November 2016, the Council of the European Union adopted a number of conclusions under the title of “Measures to support early stage researchers, raise the attractiveness of scientific careers and foster investment in human potential in research and development”
Mandated by the EU Commission, ALLEA – All European Academies consulted YEAR in the review process of the EU Code of Conduct for Research Integrity.
The YEAR Training will take place on 25-26 April 2019 in Brussels, Belgium and will be hosted by the SINTEF Brussels Office. Training fee is fully covered by YEAR for the researchers of YEAR member institutes!
