June 21, 2021, 13:00 – 14:00 CET

YEAR is organizing a new webinar. This time, we invite renowned AI specialist Denis Rothman and author of a.o. the book “Hands-on Explainable AI with Python”. He will tell us his view on the development of AI and the need for and role of Explainability as an essential part of it.

Date: June 21, 2021
Start time: 13:00 CEST
End time: 14:00 CEST

OVERVIEW OF THE WEBINAR

The Fourth Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0, initiated in Germany around 2015 and it connects everything to everything with bots, IoT, and robots. Industry 4.0 has begun to automate millions of human micro-decisions with AI. This automation of a significant number of human decisions requires transparency, interpretability, and explanations.

The presentation will first explore why AI cannot explain AI without advanced tools, focusing on the billions of pieces of heterogeneous data produced by Industry 4.0 each day.

We will then define the challenges of evolving from the Third Industrial Revolution to Industry 4.0. The challenges of going from a merely digital revolution to being fully connected is overwhelming for mainstream industries.

The presentation will go into the moral, ethical, and legal constraints that automation faces. GDPR regulations have created many problems for artificial intelligence algorithms built as opaque black boxes. We will then see how explainable AI is a game-changer and how it provides model-agnostic algorithms such as Anchor, LIME, and SHAP to meet the requirements of Industry 4.0.

Finally, we will show how collaborative bots (cobots) will enhance our ability to use artificial intelligence effectively.

By the end of the presentation, you will understand how to face the challenges of Industry 4.0 AI with ethical XAI.
